Let him dwell on what could have been.  Have him drown in his sorrows of the lost time being with his children, the memories never shared, their life passing by as he sits alone, and his impact as a father diminished.  Get him angry, depressed, and make his heart long for companionship, tempted in the wrong places.  One day, two days, one week, two weeks, one month, two months, and before you know it his time with his children will be lost.  Do not give him the reassurance that evils will be defeated.  Instead, give him the sense that all control is lost leading him to recapture it in futility.  While he has the helper at his fingertips, blur his vision so that is not relied upon.  He will become weary.  His anger will boil and elevate to the point of his own demise.  Old sins and struggles will hopefully resurface, fester, and corrupt his connection.  No longer will he be in communion.  We have him if you stay on task.  Make it dire.  All hope is lost according to what he can see.  We are winning as long as he stays shortsighted.
